About whi.

whi. is a small, growing toolkit of free single-purpose tools — word unscrambler, Unix timestamp converter, and more on the way. Each one does exactly the thing its name says, with no account, no clutter, and nothing hidden behind a paywall.

• Word Unscrambler — unscramble any set of letters into every valid word.
• Timestamp Converter — Unix time to date and back, in any timezone.

How it works

whi. itself has no backend — there's no account system, and we don't run a database of what you type. Most tools do their work entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript. A few, by nature, have to reach the network to do their job — an IP lookup or a speed test, for example, can't work without talking to a remote service. For tools like that, the request goes straight from your browser to whatever answers it; it doesn't pass through, or get logged by, any server of ours. Each tool's own page says plainly whether it needs the network.
